Today’s Visit.

I went to the neurologist today because one of my newer Epilepsy medication’s is screwing with me (I’m confused all the time, and I feel extremely toxic) and we ended up 15 minutes late because of traffic, and the neurologist didn’t have all the time in the world for us to ask questions, but it went something like this:

“I don’t like how this new medication is making me feel -”

“I’m going to up you a pill and see what happens.”

“But I-”

“You might have to go back to the hospital and do another 24 hour EEG to see what’s happening with your brain.”

“But they make me wash my hair with mayonnaise! It’s disgusting!”

“Can I have a referral for a new neurologist in Seattle?”

“Not today.”

“There also might be the possibility that we have to talk about Epilepsy surgery as well.”

“Oh geez.”

  1. That’s about where my personal neurologists and I parted ways. I suggest you seek the referral needed from a family doctor if you can. Also recommend you can seek another specialist do so. If he does not take your input in mind and treats you like you say I would the above. Just me though, so please talk with family and local medical folks first.

    • Oh yes – my mom and I are looking at neurologist’s as we speak! My brother has connections in the medical world (as he’s a doctor), and he’s trying to get me into a hospital at Cherry Hill, 🙂

      • Good to here hope the best for you, I myself will be speaking to another neurologists at the end of August and it has been over 6 months since a visit.
